对于心理服务，国内目前没有法律和职业操守标准约束，所以的确想怎么做都可以。。。
如果放在北美的话，比如说我执业的加拿大，情况大概是这样的，这里我只能从临床心理学家（Clinical Psychologist）的角度来说，不一定适合心理咨询师：
首先，「督导」并不是每个人都需要的，在通过考试、拿到执照之前，从业人员的确需要督导，而且是法律强制需要督导，这个时候因为TA还没有从业执照，所以也不可以自称为心理学家（Psychologist）。拿到执照之后，TA就是可以独立执业的心理学家，所以不再需要督导，但是需要继续学习。我们在国内绝大多数情况下所说的「督导」(supervision）其实是同行磋商(peer consultation)，本质不同。
「督导」代表着什么呢？一个还没有执照的人士（往往是学生或刚刚毕业），在一个已经有执照的心理学家的督导下，对来访者提供心理服务。从法律上来说，是督导的心理学家在通过这个被督导的人士提供服务，所以督导的心理学家需要对被督导的人士提供的服务承担全部的责任。
换句话来说，如果被督导的人士犯了任何错误，比如做出不符合伦理、违法执业操守、或者违法法律的行为，那么是督导的心理学家需要承担责任，并对来访者提供赔偿，而督导的心理学家会受到来自TA监管机构的惩罚（包括吊销执照）。
所以「督导」是一件非常严肃的事情，要求很高，既然去督导，那么就需要尽责，不然代价也很高。
我在加拿大安大略省执业，所以监管我的是安省心理学家学院（College of Psychologist of Ontario），关于「督导」，我们的职业操守准则是这么规定的 [1] ：
If a member is supervising psychological services provided by a member holding a certificate for supervised practice or any other unregulated or regulated service provider who is not an autonomous practice member of the College, the client is considered to be the client of the supervisor.这里说的是： 被督导的来访者被认为是督导的来访者。
Members must assume responsibility and accountability for, and review, the actions and services of all supervised providers of psychological services who are not authorized by the College to provide those services autonomously. Supervising members therefore, must be authorized to provide the relevant services with the relevant populations.这里说的是： 督导的心理学家必须对自己督导的人士承担全部的责任和义务。
其次，被督导的人士必须要在第一次见来访者时，把自己接受督导的情况交代清楚，不仅需要告知对方自己有接受督导，更需要向来访者提供督导的姓名和联系方式，如果来访者想要见督导，那么被督导必须协助安排。为什么？因为上面所提到的，来访者实质上是督导的来访者，督导必须承担所有的责任和义务。来访者收到的收据上，写的是督导的名字，标注的是督导的执照号码。
还是引用安省心理学家学院（College of Psychologist of Ontario）的职业操守准则 [1] ：
Supervising members must confirm that clients have been informed of the following at the onset of service provision:a) the professional status, qualifications, and functions of the individual providing the service;
b) that all services are reviewed with, and conducted under the supervision of, the supervisor;
c) the identity of the supervisor and how the supervisor can be contacted;
d) that meetings with the supervisor can be arranged at the request of the client, supervisor, and/or supervisee; and,
e) with respect to the limits of confidentiality, that the supervisor must have access to all relevant information about the client.
这里说的是： 被督导的认识必须在一开始提供服务的时候，向来访者交代清楚以下信息：
所以这个问题在国内没有答案，在国外有很明确的答案。
